As a wedding photographer, my approach is to make posed bride and groom portraits appear as organic and candid looking as possible. I use my experience and interpersonal skills to guide each bride and groom in to situations that naturally force candid and intimate moments using words and gentle direction.
I call this approach "setting the scene" so a natural moment can take place. My brides and grooms love this approach and the results when they receive their prints or wedding albums. Although, I am fully capable of creating a very directed, "editorial" styled image, these organic appearing bride and groom portraits tend to look best, since the mind can clearly imagine this moment really taking place.
