Barn and outdoor weddings offer lighting challenges not every photographer can tackle

This image of the bride and groom during their first dance was a serious challenge. I only had a few minutes to have my assistant get into the right spot, make the proper adjustments to get the stars in the sky and bonfire in the background while properly exposing the bride and groom as they danced.

Wedding photography like this are what brides and grooms expect when they hire me to photograph their wedding day. As a strong user of off-camera lighting, I use a combination of speed lights, strobes and LED video light to create some of these images.
