Brad contacted me in October 2020 asking if I could photograph his surprise proposal to his girlfriend on Friday November 13, 2020. He told me he was searching for a photographer for several months and the photos on my website caught his attention. He mentioned my organic natural and stylistic approach and wanted to hire me for this very important moment in his life. I was free that Friday and we continued forward with all the formalities to lock in his engagement proposal date. I was also part of the planning process.
As November 13the approached Brad contacted me to fill me in on the details of his surprise proposal and we planned the perfect engagement session as well. As a resident of Royal Palm Yacht and Country club, we planned how he would lead his girlfriend to the marina and drop to one knee and propose marriage to her. He explained that he would be flying her parents, sister and brother in from New York City and she would not know they would witness everything from a rented home adjacent to where the proposal would take place. At the moment of the proposal and his girlfriend Lindsay saying, "Yes", both of their families would make their appearance.
On November 13th, 2020 I arrived a little early at the Royal Palm Yacht and Country club with my daughter as my assistant. Brad had left red rose petals to be dropped along the path he and Lindsay would walk to where he would propose to her. I laid out all of the red rose petals which were in the thousands with my daughters help and we immediately move to an area that would make us less noticeable.
All within a few moments we saw Brad approaching the area he would propose to Lindsey, which she did not suspect considering red rose petals flying all over the place along the ground. Brad and Lindsay shared a few words and I photographed the moment and he got on one knee and proposed. Lindsay immediately became emotional and gave Brad a huge hug and kiss while he struggle to put the engagement ring on her finger.
The excitement and tears arrived when Lindsey saw her parents and siblings approaching from the homes with gifts and bottles of champagne in hand. After a few brief moments we then continue with Brad and Lindays engagement photography session throughout Royal Palm Yacht and Country club.
