WEDDING DAY PHOTOGRAPHY: POSING THE BRIDE AND GROOM

The whole wedding day and what's usually covered during your wedding day photography!

As a professional wedding photographer based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am the most trusted wedding photographer brides and grooms to be choose for their big day. My photography style is elegant, romantic and timeless using a blend of wedding photojournalism (candid photography), Illustrative photography (direction when needed) and editorial Photography (Fully posed) style that is fashion forward and artistic. This blend of wedding photography styles to capture a bride and grooms wedding day has made me photographer of the year, in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 by The Knot.com, Weddingwire.com, Bestthreerated.com, and expertise.com

Getting Ready

I founded Couture Bridal Photography in 2008 as a life long avid photographer. I had over 25 years of advanced photography study when I began my photography studio in Fort Lauderdale. I became involved with wedding photography, when a co-worker discovered I was a photographer and was having trouble finding a wedding photographer for his wedding day. As a wedding photographer based closed to Miami, I accepted his request for me to photograph his wedding for a small fee and this was the moment where I became a professional photographer. Until this first wedding at the The Historic Alfred I. DuPont Building with over 200 guests, I have never photographed a wedding day.

The day began with me arriving at the Intercontinental Miami, located at 100 Chopin Plaza, Miami, FL 33131 for their getting ready wedding portraits while also capturing all the special moments taking place with wedding photojournalism (candid wedding photography) as they prepared for their wedding day. They had two separate rooms so I did quite a bit of running around but complete all the wedding portraits of the groom and groomsmen before heading over to the bride and spending the rest of my time with her and the bridesmaids.

The Wedding Ceremony

I arrived at The Historic Alfred I. DuPont Building to prepare for the arrive of the bride and groom with their wedding parties and I was incredibly nervous. This would be the very first time shooting a real wedding. At this moment and time, I never imagined I would end up shooting weddings, being photographer of the year and receiving awards for my wedding photography. The bride and groom arrived and I began photographing the wedding ceremony as it was taking place. I moved carefully from pain to point to get all the best angles making sure that I would be able to deliver the most amazing wedding photos this couple could ever imagine. This was my first real wedding, but I slowly became excited and the nervousness and anxiety went away. I was confident I was doing a great job shooting this couples big day.

Bridal Portraits

The wedding ceremony concluded with the brides and grooms first kiss and they walked down the isle to cheers to the back of the room. I gathered the family and bridal party and began to photograph the couples wedding portraits that including the brides and grooms family, bridal party, siblings and some friends. When we were done with the bridal portraits the couple and I went on a little adventure to create their brides and grooms wedding portraits. We then found scenic locations within the The Historic Alfred I. DuPont Building for photos including their historic safe room and then took to the streets during the cocktail hour to photograph the couple in Miami. We drove to various locations in Brickell and downtown Miami creating spectacular wedding portraits the couple would want in their wedding album and wall art they would hang in their home or office.

The Wedding Reception

So by the time the wedding reception was to begin, I was tired. I had never worked under such stress as a photographer, but the end was nearing and I was determined to continue to shoot this wedding to the end, in my own photography style. So the wedding procession began with the DJ announcing the parents, bridal party and then the bride and groom. I was photographing everything that was happening and really focusing on capturing the emotion, excitement and love story that was still unfolding before my eyes.

The bride and groom reached the middle of the room and they danced their first dance while kissing, embracing and whispering sweet nothings into each other ears. As a wedding photojournalist, my job was to constantly move and capture every candid moment to tell the grand finale of their wedding day. When the brides and grooms finished their dance they each did a dance with each of their parents.

Upon the completion of the dances every one sat and speeches took place by the best man and maid of honor. After the toasts, the grooms brother said a prayer and the guests began to eat their dinner.

The wedding Party!

After the guests completed their dinner, the DJ announced that the dance floor was opening and the party began. I photographed the bride and groom as they interacted with their family and friends and took random group photos of the bride and groom, guests and members of the bridal party. I made sure to also capture the couples parents dancing and celebrating the marriage of their children. The party went on for hours, but was amazing. The party came to an end around 12am and everyone lined up outside the wedding venue for a sparkler exit to their Rolls Royce classic limousine. The couple exited with the guests cheering couples and waving of the sparklers.

This story is about my first wedding as a professional photographer in Miami. Since then I have photographed 400+ weddings, travels to Beverly Hills, Dallas, Charleston and Puerto Rico to photography destination weddings and have received amazing reviews. Now I have a wedding photography team that is as passionate about shooting weddings for brides and grooms throughout Miami and Miami Beach.

I hope that you like my website and find my story on my first wedding photography assignment funny or inspirational if you're a photographer yourself.

FORT LAUDERDALE WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

Wedding Photography in Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach

Thank you for visiting my wedding photography gallery. These images represent a wide variety of images I might capture throughout your wedding day. These wedding photos often tell a back story to the events that took place during your wedding day, you might have not noticed.

When I am hired to photograph a couples wedding day, my goal is to capture every detail, fleeting moment and tender emotion that is sure to take place on your wedding day. Your wedding day photography is most likely the single most important investment you'll make on your wedding day, and I promise to provide you with the most comprehensive wedding photography anywhere.

Wedding Photography Style

My wedding photography style is best described as elegant, romantic and timeless. I view every wedding as an opportunity to tell a new story, this is what allows me to create new images for every couple even when I have been to the same venue on multiple occasions.

Unlike many of my counterparts in the Fort Lauderdale wedding photography industry who photograph weddings in a specific format, I search for new angles, moods, lighting and backgrounds based on my couples personality to always create something new.

I also combine various genres of photography to create my own unique and distinct style of wedding photography. I personally use a mix of photojournalism, editorial, illustrative, glamour, fashion and contemporary photography to create a very sought after story telling style of wedding photography where the bride and groom standout like celebrity high end models. I like to make my couples stars of their love story and feature them in images with a very stylish fashion forward approach.

My editing is also a crucial part of my wedding photography style. I use more than one editing program to create an authentic yet lively appearance to your wedding photos. I come from the era of film photography where images on film had a depth and texture much like music on vinyl. It's very subtle, but you can see the difference in an image that reflects the quality of film vs. photography made for a computer screen.

Wedding Photography Pricing

My pricing for wedding photography in Fort Lauderdale includes more than any other wedding photographer will ever offer in Florida! I believe in providing my brides and grooms with more than just snapshots throughout their wedding day. I create an experience for my couples starting with complimentary engagement photography sessions and bridal portrait photography sessions after the wedding day. By creating an all encompassing wedding photography experience, I am able to create the most personalized wedding day photography experience couples deserve on their most special day.

I also offer the best bargain on wedding photography compared to other photographers in Fort Lauderdale with similar skills you might come across when searching for a Fort Lauderdale wedding photographer. Additionally, I offer discounts on off-peak wedding season and for weddings hosted on Fridays and Sundays. I also work closely with each couple to personalize their wedding photography experience according to their wedding budget with wedding photography payment plans.
